No photograph
I haven't put anything up recently and have been busy with snow and a million other things. I have been playing with a bunch of different brushes today, I made this scene with no photographs at all. It is okay, a little over done but I really wanted to play with some new tools I got.

Old Darkroom
I wanted to try some new lighting and some panoramic ideas I have had, but have been waiting for warmer weather. Since that isn't going to happen for a while I went out anyway. While I was out I found an abandoned building that had a darkroom in it. I thought it was awesome so I tried to make a good panoramic.

Lighting is key
I really want to light everything I do in interesting and new ways so I can learn more about lighting and so I can create amazing photographs. I was reading through articles in some old photo magazines my agent gave to me and came across an amazing way to use lights. I was able to turn $200 dollars worth of lights into at least $1,000 dollars worth of lights with an infinite potential to add more and more light. Here is the shot I took, I am pretty happy with the outcome and I am going to keep experimenting with this to make phenomenal shots.

NJ trip
I went to New Jersey today to potentially photograph some waterfalls. They were interesting but no great places to photograph it from. I ran into at least 5 people with $5,000 plus worth of equipment taking snap shots of the waterfalls. I did stop at an older castle looking building and I thought I would take a shot and see what I can do with it. There was no good place to shoot from so I shot from way below and corrected for perspective more or less. Something to put up on the blog I guess.

New Lights
So a retired photographer read about my show and wanted to give me some equipment. I ended up getting some ancient light stands, background paper, and strobes. I decided to start playing with them today trying to set up different situations and get used to how they work. I grabbed a box of my dad's african masks and made a little set up. I think they came out pretty good. I didn't experiment with the lights as much I should have though. Once I found a good set up I just kept it at that. I need to find someone to sit in front of my camera for a few hours so I can try all different set ups with the two strobes I got. They both have giant beauty dishes on them, I really wish I had a big soft box or octabank for them.

Great Day
So I now have an agent. I got my first job, not a huge one but hey, I gotta start somewhere. I have also been working on my racing project I still don't have a name for. I have never met such patient and dedicated mechanics. I don't think they are human, this project is going to be awesome and a lot of fun. They were outside in the freezing temperatures loading and unloading cars until midnight last night and starting early this morning to be able to leave today for Florida. I am going to try to post daily.
