I am in Detroit for a job and get to spend a few extra days to photograph some of the abandoned buildings. Within the first 20 minutes of being here we saw a police motorcycle run down by an SUV and an abandoned house that was set on fire. While at one time Detroit must have been a magnificent city, many of the awe inspiring houses and buildings have been left empty. Now these buildings are in various states of deterioration.
